Rasulullah SAW in an authentic hadith narrated by Imam Muslim said "The best human being is my generation (Friends), then the next generation (Thabi'in), then the next generation (Thabi'it Thabiin)".

Because the knowledge of Rasulullah SAW was accepted by the friends, then the friends conveyed the knowledge of the Prophet SAW to the Thabi'in, then the Thabi'in taught the knowledge of the Prophet SAW to the Thabi'it' Thabi'in.
