The tuner is responsive, accurate and precise. It it also written to be efficient, so you don't need and expensive phone or tablet to be able to run it. The efficiency also means it has relatively low battery consumption.
The tuner lets you tune your chanter and drones based on a reference Low A calibrated to your chanter.
The tuner automatically detects which chanter note or drone note you are playing, based on what is the loudest/closest to your devices microphone. The gauge will then indicate how sharp or flat your chanter note or drones are, allowing you to tune them to achieve sweet sounding pipes.
To suit your preference, different chanter tuning schemes can be chosen.
An optional high contrast theme can be set for outdoor use.

This is an excellent tuner. That's all there is to say about it. I'm always hesitant to actually pay money for an app, but this is absolutely worth it. It has all the features you need to tune pipes, none of the features you don't need, and the interface is straightforward and easy to use. Simply put, this is the best tuner on the market.
Chanter tuning is fast and flawless. Drone tuning can be a bit tricky as getting a single drone sound isolated for the tuner is awkward. The software seems to only work on calculating one tone at a time.
I've played bagpipes since the fourth grade (10yrs old) and never had the same feel for tuning chanters as the best players I've been around. This app helps bridge the gap and makes it clear how to improve your sound. It takes the guesswork out of tuning your chanter. We use a stroboplus for drones in my band (not a review of the drone function in the app) but most of my bandmates use braw at every practice for chanters. Don't sleep on the settings options ... this app is highly customizable.
