I used to think carrot was good but now after having it for almost 2 years. I am dumping it. Its weather predictions have gone south. Can't get an accurate prediction. Its supposed to snow this week and carrot only says partly cloudy. We are supposed to get 8". Something wrong here. Plus no radar still after 2 years. No update to our version of the app but Apple phones get a new version entirely. I also paid for premium and it wasn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app on android. They do not care about android customers. Defiantly do not waste your money on premium. You will never see a benefit from it especially since they refuse to update it.
Recent update fixed location search issue! This is a pretty fun app, overall. Pros: accurate weather, fun interface, fun extras. Cons: $4/year but without most features of the iOS app, widgets limited (only option is current conditions with snarky comment), no notifications or app bar options. Due to its accuracy, it's currently my weather app of choice, but I'm not particularly happy about paying for something but still losing out on most features.
Bad change after bad change imo. First they changed the voice, made it try to sound more real but now just sounds like a bad AI. Now they changed the entire layout, which was the entire appeal for me. Made it way more complicated, looks way worse. Functions worse. Harder to see information such as hourly and precipitation chance. Overall very bad changes. I'll still use it, but wish they never made these changes.
