Who am I?
Very pleasant, my name is Liora Boxenbaum, holds an M.A. in educational counseling from Bar Ilan University and is the mother of eight lovely children. The challenge of managing a married life within the Jewish home attracted me already during my academic studies. I specialized in intimacy in the marital system, and I did my research on the adaptation of ultra-Orthodox women to the intimate life after marriage. The shaky interviews as part of my degree studies, the many lectures I gave around the country, the many counseling sessions at the clinic - revealed to me a lack of knowledge, false beliefs, ongoing frustration and the pain of silence that cries to heaven. I decided to take up the gauntlet and founded the "Diamond Center" association - counseling and guidance for couples and women. The center is unique in its kind and provides assistance to women from the religious and ultra-Orthodox sector on any issue related to intimacy. In a groundbreaking project, I produced an audio course, "A Locked Garden, My Sister's Bride," which reveals the knowledge and practical tools on the most sensitive and intimate issues in the Jewish home, in clear language but with appropriate modesty.
