I give up. The designers meant well and I believe the user interface I well designed. But the technical problems make this app unusable. NFC reader works fine the first time to change the transport PIN to the 6 digit personal PIN but already the next attempt to see what data is stored on the card reliably fails. I spent 20 minutes turning and flipping the card (no case). 9/10 times, I get no reaction. If I'm lucky, I get stuck in the "weak signal loop". Sorry devs, but this ain't working.
It worked fine before this "UI refresh"! Now I cannot even set my new pin or get the Ausweisapp desktop client to pair with this mobile version. I am using an somewhat older (slower) Android phone with Android 12. (Fairphone 3) The NFC chip works, the tests in the app are all green. Yet I cannot get a stable reading of my eID card. It seems that the app process times out too fast and the error handling is incorrect. The app should try again to read from NFC instead of throwing the error.
Does not work with italian (european and electronic) identity card. Update after answer: nice automatic answer, but italian Identity card is complied with TR-03124. Answer could be useful instead of copy and paste with no sense. Update after (automatic) answer deleted: if that is how you face complaints and then fake to disappear, wow, now I get why app does not work. Waiting now for automatic answer 2 suggesting to contact your email support which does not answer to the mails.
