NASA astronauts Barry 'Butch' Wilmore and
Sunita 'Suni' Williams have successfully returned to Earth after their mission aboard the
International Space Station (ISS). Facing challenges with Boeing’s
Starliner capsule, their journey was marked by efforts to ensure a safe return. While this mission has ended, new stories and expeditions continue, with astronauts frequently traveling to and from the ISS. Follow the next chapters of space exploration!
Take a Journey into Space with Our Live Earth Cam: Embark on a journey like no other and witness the incredible sights of our planet from the vantage point of the International Space Station with our 24/7 live stream.
If you like space or astronomy then you will love ISS Live Now.
ISS Live Now gives you easy access to a
live video feed of Earth from the International Space Station, which is orbiting about 400 kilometers (250 miles) above the planet. The app provides an exciting experience marked by thoughtful design and features numerous customization options.
With ISS Live Now, you can view amazing
live HD video streams directly from the
International Space Station’s cameras.
The app utilizes the native Android Google Map (
ISS tracker), which allows you to follow the Space Station’s orbit around our planet. You can zoom, rotate, drag and tilt the map; choose between different types of maps (such as satellite or terrain); and view data such as the speed of orbit, altitude, visibility, latitude and longitude, and even what country the Station is above at any moment in time. All of these options are easily customizable from the settings menu.
You will have seven different sources of live video streaming, including:
- *Live HD camera: A wonderful HD video stream of our planet.
- *Live standard camera: It shows a live stream of the Earth and, from time to time, details about the ISS (like tests, maintenance and communication with Earth).
- *Eventual channel: Temporary live cameras from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos), and SpaceX.
You even have the option to be
notified when the next sunset or sunrise will occur, allowing you to watch it live directly from the International Space Station.
You will be able to receive notifications on time and watch live events such as arrival and departure of manned and unmanned spacecrafts (
Soyuz,
SpaceX Crew Dragon,
Boeing CST-100 Starliner, Rocket Lab, Arianespace, Blue Origin, Northrop Grumman), spacewalks, launches (
Falcon, SpaceX, Dragon, Progress, Cygnus, ATV, JAXA HTV Kounotori), dockings, undockings, rendezvous, captures, experiments, communications between NASA's/Roscosmos ground control and astronauts.
Do you want to see the ISS in the sky at night? This is the easiest way to spot the Station. With the built-in ISS detector tool, ISS Live Now will tell you when and where to look for the Space Station. You’ll receive a notification a few minutes before it passes by your location.
You can also choose to be notified when the ISS is about to pass over your region during the day, allowing you to admire your country from space.
Explore the International Space Station with
Google Street View.
Thanks to Google, aspiring astronauts can now simulate the experience of floating on the International Space Station (ISS). The company worked with astronauts to provide a Google Street View from Cupola window.

Love this app. It is very relaxing to look at during the light mode. When it goes into night mode, though, it is hard to see anything. So I wish it could show the stars more better when it goes into this mode. If this is possible I wish this app would add it. However, the app does have other things you can watch while in night mode, like an ESA channel and a Eventual channel. Finally, I like the capability to switch from SD to HD. You can see the stars slightly in HD at night. Overall love it.
Wonderful! But, please if possible, make it so the map that shows the ISS's location, stays put when you scroll on it. As of now, it goes back to the ISS location very quickly. Which makes different when trying to determine exactly where the ISS will pass &/or if the location is cloudy or not. Thank you! Otherwise, this is why smartphones exist. It's only too bad, people don't understand the magic in their own hands. Great app!
I love watching this before bed. Makes me feel very relaxed. A few things I wish it had - an explanation between the hd and the sd, what are they looking at/from. - when the camera is full screen and the map isn't showing having the coordinates, and maybe a name of country/ocean/area on screen so you can tell where you're looking, especially when you take video and screenshots
