Bring spare change for a fare. The app barcode rarely scans. The app will sign you out randomly. I was signed out as I boarded the bus and it takes 30 seconds to sign back in...which is longer than bus drivers are willing or allowed to wait. I had to step off, sign on again and waited for the next bus. My solution. Bring spare change and always monitor your mykey app the last 5 minutes before boarding to make sure you're not signed out.
This app is essentially nonfunctional. Beware as the QR code does not work and the app will say it's expired even if you keep reloading it. I loaded money onto my e-card and wasn't able to use it, but the bus driver was understanding and let me on board anyway-- shout out to her.
Been trying for over a week to reload my card and keep getting error message. Very frustrating for something that's supposed to be convenient 😒 I checked to make sure app was updated, with Wi-Fi on and off, and still can't reload.
