Why New Thinking?
Just as people have different personalities we also think differently. We tend to forget this simple fact. Our brains function differently. Why does one person solve problems easily and another struggle?

The simple answer is… We think differently.

You learn to think from your life experiences and the world around you. Over time you are conditioned to think in a certain way. You develop a thinking personality. Your thinking is shaped by everything you have done, your experiences, how you reacted, what you thought, what people said to you, and much more. How you see yourself dictates how you think as well. Do you see yourself as a good problem-solver? Why?

The best problem-solvers see the world differently. They look at problems differently. They can often develop solutions that others cannot imagine.

How?
The secret is that they have learned how to explore problems. They think about the world in a way that helps them explore problems, and then develop multiple solutions. Understanding a problem helps you explore what causes it, and thus you focus on the core issue. Sometimes the "real" problem isn't the one you are trying to solve. Most people will typically develop a limited number of possible solutions to their problems. This is too restrictive. Often many options could be evaluated. People just don’t explore enough. Sometimes you can’t solve a problem simply because you have not thought of the solution yet. It is there - you just need to expand your thinking and find it.

A simple example of this is to ask yourself if you need to solve the problem at all. What if you did nothing? This isn't the obvious question to ask - but it challenges your thinking.
