Spotube is like Spotify but it's just free. honestly it's kind of annoying how slow the app is & the app plays wrong versions of the song. For example I wanted to listen to Runaway-Kanye West and then it played some weird version I didn't recognize & most of the time when I'm listening to a song it just stops playing out of nowhere. And it takes too long to play the song and play the next song on the playlist. The app is overall great I just hope the developer fixes these problems very soon!
Android 14. it's not shown as an app to put in the "never sleep" section. It doesn't show in any of the list so fully stopping battery optimization is not an option. Fails to update liked songs list every single time any new music is added unless Uninstalled and reinstalled. Drains device battery by 4% in under 5 minutes as well. The application tries overloading itself when loading playlist which causes it to freeze up at an insane rate and then become entirely unusable for a period of time.
Love this app and I had it installed from Fdroid for a long time. The problem is that it doesn't show up in Android Auto so I hoped installing it from the Play Store would fix that, but it didn't. This is likely Google's fault and not anything the developer can do anything about, but it's something to take into consideration if you plan to use the app.
