Levels are unlocked in sequence. You start with only the first level playable. Finish one level to unlock the next. After finishing the level, you always return to the welcome screen.

Each level has 3 stars. Finishing a level again wins you the first star. Replay the level and meet its new quota to win the second and third stars.

The game has one main dish, steak. Cook the steak in the grill. It will take time to cook. Once it cooks, you have a few seconds to remove it from the grill to keep it from burning. If you do burn it, you must drag and drop it to the recycling bin on the bottom right. You can garnish the steak with sauce and vegetables as demanded by the customer. You can only serve the steak to the customer if it meets their expectations.

You can also serve juice. Select the juice dispenser to dispense juice. The glass of juice is automatically removed from the dispenser when it finishes.

The customer will ask for a specific food order. Your job is to meet it exactly before the customer’s patience runs out. Customers can order multiple items at once. The customer’s patience is shown to their right as a vertical meter. As the meter empties out, the customer becomes less patient. Make sure to serve the customer before their patience runs out. You only have a limited number of customers. Your goal is to make as much coins from these customers as you can to meet your level quota. You get to keep the coins earned from a level regardless of whether you win.

Use upgrades to improve the game. Further into the game, you’ll need upgrades to allow you to serve more customers and make more profit. Upgrades increase the capacity of your kitchen and allow you to charge more. You can access the upgrades screen by selecting the upgrade option on each level. Choose your upgrades with care: some upgrades (such as charging more for juice, lettuce, and steak) provide a considerable boost in the early game.

The key to doing well at this game is to keep doing things in parallel and have most of the customer order prepared before they even step up. Adding sauce or vegetables to a steak only takes a second, though cooking steaks and pouring drinks take longer, so always keep 2 cooked steaks and a poured drink in inventory. Be careful not to cook more steaks than you have plates for as the steak will then cost you points when it is thrown out for being charred.
