The game is set in postapocalyptic versions of real-world cities: Paris, New York, etc.

Premise: a bloody war, started in 2054 by corporations, culminates in ‘the great cyborg battle’ destroying all of the world’s civilizations. The survivors are forced to obey the weakened yet still formidable corporations that continue to fight each other for resources.
