Use case is pixel 6 pro casting from Dropbox to Chromecast. Paid for pro upgrade. App is minimally functional. It does cast from Dropbox. However, the folder list is out of date and I can't figure out how to get it to update, despite clearing all data and even fully uninstalling and reinstalling. But there's more! I frequently see a blank space with only the words "Empty Directory" for Dropbox. I have to use Settings, log out of Dropbox, then log back in, just to get the out-of-date folder list.
I don't rate many apps, but when something is done so well, and when the experience is seamless it deserves praise. One of the best built-in subtitles downloader in any Chromecast streaming app, so much better than VLC and MX player. Great job. DO NOT BREAK IT WITH A USELESS UPDATE JUST FOR THE SAKE OF SAYING YOU HAVE AN UPDATE - Companies tend to do this too often. It works, so let it work - If an update breaks features, I will amend my review.
I'm sorry, but there's something wrong with this app. It keeps CLAIMING that a video isn't supported and that is the Chromecasts fault. But that's BS. It will play one video but not another and BOTH of these videos have the EXACT same specs. Same codec, same bit rate, same resolution, same frame rate, and shot with the same phone and the same settings. Yeah sorry, but the app is the problem.
