A miserable experience. It's incredibly slow and they actively make the app worse after each iteration. For instance you used to be able to sort through posts by the month and year they were released, but they changed it so you could only sort by year, so if you want to find a specific post you now have to scroll through hundreds of posts instead of tens to find it, made even worse because the app only loads a handful of posts at a time, very slowly. Something new needs to come along soon.
After the recent upgrade, it's somehow worse. Can't archive episodes, it won't show them played/delete after listening, won't keep filters in place, etc, etc, etc. Worst app ever. So few functions it's a joke, doesn't indicate which episodes you've already listened to, doesn't maintain settings, you have to go back and reset manually. I've gone back to using my regular podcast app, Podcast Addict, which is excellent.
The UI is objectively bad and constantly has issues. If you scroll too far it will sometimes just reset where you are in the feed so have fun listening to older content and keeping track of where you are. I was hoping the UI would have improved after leaving months ago but it's exactly as awful as it was when I left. If I could get the content I get anywhere else I would go there even if it cost more. I can't emphasize enough how awful the patreon UI is and whats frustrating is it used to work
