Opener Comps

Let’s start with opener comps, the lineup you use to lay the foundation for your future team. These comps rely on easy-to-find early-game champions to boost your win rate and snowball the game in the initial stages. You can also stick with champions you’ve upgraded to 2-star if they come your way. Ideally, pick an opener that includes a carry who can hold items for your main late-game comp. 

 

The following are three examples to get you started.

 

Nitro Opener

 

Nitro is a super popular opener because it comes with mechs that help carry you through the early game, making it easy to rack up win streaks. The core consists of three early-game champions: Nidalee, Kindred, and Shyvana. You can also toss in other champs to boost the team’s strength or to hold items for your late-game carries. For example, add Jhin to combo with Marksman for AD items or Seraphine to combo with Techie for AP items.

 

Cypher Opener

 

Cypher opener focuses on losing early rounds to stack up bonus gold, perfect for a Fast 8 strategy. It’s all about cracking random eggs for items to power up your champs starting at Stage 3-1—or saving up a big gold pile. If your HP is still high, most players stretch this out to Stage 3-7 before switching to a different comp or hunting for new champs to pivot into.

 

Anima Squad Opener

 

Finally, the strongest early-game opener: Anima Squad. As shown in the lineup, I’d suggest swapping out Seraphine or Vayne depending on your items. For example, if you’ve got AP items, stick with Seraphine; for AD items, go with Vayne. You can also sub in other champs to combo with different Synergies based on what you’ve got.

Default

Markman & Vanguard

This team focuses on maxing out Marksman and Vanguard, aiming for 4 of each. The key champions here are Aphelios, Xayah, and Leona. Item builds should prioritize these three carries. If you’re sticking to Level 8, you can drop Garen, but for a full squad, hit Level 9 to fit him in.

Syndicate Twisted Fate

As the name suggests, Twisted Fate is the star carry here. Level up normally to 6, then use interest gold to reroll for Twisted Fate, Darius, and Skaner until they hit 3-star. The main carries are Twisted Fate, Darius, and Miss Fortune.

If you reach Level 9, toss in Aurora to combo Dynamo with Miss Fortune for extra juice.

 

Fast 8

Last but not least, Fast 8 comps are all about rushing to Level 8 to grab late-game powerhouses. This style either wins early rounds consistently or saves up 50 gold to use interest for a quick level-up advantage. The top comp for this playstyle is:

 

Street Demon & Strategist

This team leans on Strategist and Street Demon synergies, dishing out heavy physical damage. The core trio is Samira, Brand, and Neeko.

Operation Strategy:

2-1: Upgrade to level 4.

Unlock team synergy: Sharpshooter *2, Vanguard *2.

 

2-5: Upgrade to level 5.

Unlock team synergy: Sharpshooter *2, Vanguard *2, Dragonsoul *3, or Warlords *3, Sharpshooter *2, Vanguard *2.

Try to win consecutively and collect at least 30 coins to earn interest.

 

3-2: Upgrade to level 6.

Unlock team synergy: Sharpshooter *2, Warlords *3, Dragonsoul *3.

Hero units for the same synergy can be swapped out when you encounter higher-cost heroes.

 

3-6: Upgrade to level 7.

Look for Chosen: Sharpshooter Sivir and promote to 3 stars.

Find other synergy heroes for the team. Aim to finalize your team composition.

 

Upgrade Tank heroes for more durability.

If Thresh hasn’t appeared by level 8, you can temporarily use Neeko instead.
