Experience the rebirth of one of the most interesting and unique MMORPG experiences by joining forces with other players and fight against monsters to explore and write your own story in the new continent by playing Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth on PC.
In Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth, one of the most important aspects that players need to consider when starting the game is which of the character classes they should pick as it is extremely difficult to change class later on in the game.
Each class has their own unique skills, abilities, advanced classes and stats, with each class specializing in a different role in the party, making the decision all the more impactful in the long run.
In this guide, we will go over all of the classes in Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth and show players all of their important quirks and advise players on which of the classes they should pick as their main starting class in the game.
The class system in Tales of Wind: Radiant Rebirth is divided into 7 different classes, each with their own set of skills, abilities, equipment, stats and advanced classes that players can obtain when picking the class. At the start of the game, players will have the chance to pick between all 7 classes, allowing players to customize their character at the start of the game.
The class you pick at the start of the game will heavily impact your early game experience and will determine your role in a raid with other players, making it extremely important that you consider this choice carefully. Players will be able to change their class in the future, however, when changing class, your investment into the class will be reset, making it not recommended in the long term.
The 7 classes players can pick from are: Warrior, Mage, Cleric, Assassin, Summoner, Samurai, and Twinstar.
Warrior is a melee class that has balanced offensive and defensive ability with its abilities to allow players to deal AoE damage to enemies with their greatsword while also being able to block and parry enemies’ attacks with their shield. Warriors also have access to abilities that allow them to crowd control enemies.
At higher levels, Warrior can be promoted into 1 of 2 different paths:
- Paladin: A defensive class that has the ability to massively reduce the damage enemies deal to all allies and can become an extremely powerful tank.
- Berserker: An offensive oriented class that sacrifices defense for offense by sacrificing HP to deal more damage to enemies in a large area.
Mage is a ranged class that focuses on dealing damage to enemies with different types of spells and magic, their abilities allow them to crowd control enemies while dealing magic damage to large groups of enemies.
At higher levels, Mage can be promoted into 1 of 2 different paths:
- Pyromancer: Pyromancer sacrifices the Mage’s ability to crowd control enemies in order to gain a massive boost in damage and the abilities to deal damage to enemies in a large area in front of the player.
- Frostweaver: Opposite to Pyromancer, Frostweaver sacrifices damage in exchange for the ability to crowd control large waves of enemies and even bosses with their powerful frozen debuff.
Cleric is a ranged support class that focuses on healing and supporting allies with powerful spells that heals, dispel and buff allies with useful buffs. They are quite frail in terms of stats and do little to no damage to enemies but make up for it by being able to support allies and inflict poison on the enemies.
At higher levels, Cleric can be promoted into 1 of 2 different paths:
- Priest: Priest is a class that focuses on buffing allies’ defensive abilities and dispelling debuffs from allies, allowing them to live longer.
- Ranger: Ranger is a class that forgoes the Cleric’s ability to heal allies in exchange for the ability to deal damage and inflict poison to multiple enemies from afar.
Assassin is a melee class that focuses on dealing massive amounts of damage to enemies in a wide area. This class is quite agile in nature and has abilities that can allow players to clear waves of monsters easily in exchange for a more fragile defensive capability.
At higher levels, Assasin can be promoted into 1 of 2 different paths:
- Asura: Asura is a class that focuses on dealing combo attacks when behind the enemy, allowing players to deal massive amounts of single target damage.
- Ninja: Ninja is a class that specializes in dealing critical hits and dodging enemies attacks with their ability to boost their own crit rate and dodge rate.
Summoner is a ranged class that specializes in summoning different familiars to help aid them and the team in battle, with each familiars doing a specific job. This is a very jack of all trades class with their ability tied to the familiar’s ability and requires skillful management to master.
At higher levels, Summoner can be promoted into Spirit Master, a class that massively boost the stat of the familiar and allow the player to do combo attacks together with the Familiar.
Samurai is a melee class that specializes in dealing burst damage to enemies in a large area. Samurai’s abilities allow them to quickly move towards a marked enemy and deal massive damage to them in an instance.
At higher levels, Samurai can be promoted into Kensei, a class that boosts the offensive level of Samurai even further with the ability to chain attack enemies constantly by spamming class skill.
Twinstar is a Ranged Support class that allows the players to change between 2 different modes: a buffing mode that boosts allies combat abilities by granting them beneficial buffs and a debuffing mode that debuffs the enemies and reduces their defenses with powerful debuffs.
In a party, different roles and classes will serves different purposes and have their own role to fill when entering a party or team based contents, therefore, players should understand the basic gist of what each roles are in a party before choosing a class at the start of the game
The different roles in a party can be classified as followed and the class that can best fulfill those roles are:
- Tank: Warrior (Paladin), Summoner.
- Melee DPS: Warrior (Berserker), Assassin (Asure, Ninja), Samurai (Kensei).
- Ranged DPS: Mage (Pyromancer), Cleric (Ranger), Summoner
- Support: Mage (Frostweaver), Cleric (Priest), Twinstar.
For Solo players who want to focus on clearing the game’s contents as quickly as possible and will need to do a lot of the game’s team content by themselves or with other random players, choosing a decently offensive class is highly recommended as DPS classes are often extremely needed in team contents.
In addition, choosing an offensive class allows solo players to clear a lot of the game story contents easily by themselves without the help of others.
The recommended classes are: Warrior (Berserker), Mage (Pyromancer), Assassin (Ninja), and Summoner.
Support players are extremely needed for a lot of the team contents in the game and will be highly sought after by a lot of parties lacking support options. Support players will need to have decent skill to help buff and heal the entire party, allowing the team to survive as long as possible while being able to get good buffs.
Classes that support players should pick will hinder their solo gameplay progress as these classes generally don't do much damage, so players should consider before becoming a support player.
The recommended classes are: Warrior (Paladin), Mage (Frostweaver), Cleric (Priest), Summoner, and Twinstar.
Team Players generally already have a set group of people that they often party with and will probably play together with this group of friends in most of the team related contents in the game. When this is the case, the class that you should choose will depend on what will balance out the party the most.
