Cookie Run Kingdom Update Patch - Match Made In Oven & Shroomie Shenanigans

 

The Match Made in Oven update patch is a massive update patch that spans the entirety of the month of March all the way through April, 2025, with 2 distinct expansions during its duration - the Match Made in Oven expansion and the Shroomie Shenanigans expansion. 

 

During each expansion, players can participate in various amazing events running in the game that give you large amounts of rewards for doing specific game modes or contents. The events players can participate in are:

 

Daily Gifts

 

During the event update patch, logging in daily will provide players with various event exclusive items and important currencies that players can use for various activities in the game like gacha currencies, speed up Time Jumpers, Stamina and more.

 

Cherries & Cream Missions

 

Cherries & Cream Missions are special missions available exclusively during the update patch period and are divided into daily missions and permanent missions, with each mission requiring players to complete certain tasks related to the update patch.

The missions will reward players with special items and currencies when completed, including the special Cherries & Cream Bouquet that can be used on the special exclusive gacha for Black Forest Cookie.

 

Duo Gacha Event

 

During the event patch, 2 cookies will experience their rate up banners - Black Forest Cookie and Wedding Cake Cookie. In order to commemorate this, a special duo gacha event will be held, where players can accumulate gacha counters on both of these cookies’ banners in order to obtain various rewards.

Please keep in mind that while Wedding Cake Cookie gacha uses the normal currency like Gems and Cookie Cutters, the gacha for Black Forest Cookie uses special event exclusive currencies that players can obtain from other events, so in order to gain as much rewards from this Duo Gacha event as possible, players will need to do the other events.

 

Wedding Pass & Perfect Wedding Plans

 

Another mission based event, the Wedding Pass & Perfect Wedding Plans are 2 interlinked events that are the main attraction for the Match Made in Oven Update Expansion. 

During the event duration, special missions will be available for players to complete in order to obtain points and raise the level of the Wedding Pass. When the Wedding Pass level reaches specific milestones, players will be rewarded with amazing rewards, including a large amount of event currencies needed to roll Black Forest Cookie. Players can also spend their money to unlock the special Wedding Pass, providing them with double the rewards and even more exclusive goods and rewards.

 

The Perfect Wedding Plans is a special story event where players can unlock the update’s story by completing specific missions related to upgrading Black Forest Cookie & Wedding Cake Cookie to earn Likes. The more Likes you accumulate, the more rewards you will gain and the more story you will unlock.

 

Shroomie Shenanigans & Transformation Time!

 

The main update expansion leading up to April’s Fool, Shroomie Shenanigans and Transformation time are special joke events that allow players to obtain special Rainbow Shroomies that can be fed to your cookies in order for them to experience special “transformations”.

Complete specific tasks during the event period in order to obtain special rewards and Rainbow Shroomies and feed them to your Cookie to transform them into special event exclusive April’s Fool illustrations.

The more you prank your cookies with the Rainbow Shroomies, the more rewards you will get and the more special cookie illustrations you will obtain. So go and give your best cookies the Shroomies to see how they turn out.

 

Golden Age Of Trade & United By Trade

 

During the patch duration, a special Trade event will be available that allows you to send your Trade boats as quickly as possible. Unlike usual where players can only send at most 1 trade boat every day in order to obtain rewards, during this Golden Age of Trade Event, players will be able to load up the boat and send as many trade boats as possible during the event period without any cooldown periods.

The more trade boats you send and the more points you obtain, the more rewards you can gain from the United By Trade.

 

My Cookie Adventure Update

 

Finally, the last major event with the Shroomie Shenanigans expansion patch is the My Cookie Adventure Update, which allows players to dress up their own cookie and fight dangerous foes and complete specific tasks in order to obtain special event exclusive rewards.

This expansion allows players to freely control their own cookie to fight against enemies in real time, making it an interesting new gamemode for players to experience moving forward. So don’t forget to customize your own cookie and go on your own Cookie Adventure for all the best rewards!

Cookie Run Kingdom New Cookies - Should You Roll

 

With the release of the Match Made in Oven and Shroomie Shenanigans Update Patch and Expansions, players will have the chance to encounter and roll for 2 brand new cookies - Black Forest Cookie & Wedding Cake Cookie, with the 2 cookies experiencing a limited time event rate up during the update patch duration, making it the prime time to try and obtain these cookies. However, are they worth rolling for? Let’s find out.

 

Dark Forest Cookie

 

Dark Forest Cookie is an Epic grade Cookie that is introduced in the Match Made in Oven update patch and can be obtained from the event gacha during the update patch by spending event exclusive currencies. She is a Charge Cookie that specializes in dealing with summoned creatures.

Dark Forest Cookie’s ability allows her to transform into a different form, granting her powerful Attack Speed and Damage Resist buff and making her invulnerable during the skill duration. When in this mode, her attacks will deal damage to enemies and deal additional damage and stun summoned creatures. 

 

When her skill ends, Dark Forest Cookie will summon Thorns to aid her in battle. If she is in the same team as Wedding Cake Cookie, she will gain special additional buffs that shorten her Skill Cooldown and enhance her power even more.

 

Wedding Cake Cookie

 

Together with Dark Forest Cookie, Wedding Cake Cookie is an Epic Grade Cookie that is available during the Match Made in Oven Update patch. Players can roll on her rate up banner using normal gacha currencies and she is Magic Cookie.

Wedding Cake Cookie’s skill allows her to turn the battlefield into a Wedding Aisle, with allies within the field gaining special Attack and Crit Damage buffs while enemies take DoT damage and summoned creatures are stunned.

 

Against Summoned creatures, her damage will increase significantly and if Dark Forest Cookie is on the team, she will gain special CD reduction and damage boost buffs.

 

Should You Roll

 

Both Black Forest Cookie and Wedding Cake Cookie excels at dealing with Summoned Creatures from enemies while providing the team with various beneficial effects.

 

Black Forest Cookies serve as a very powerful charge tank Cookie for the duration of her skill, while Wedding Cake Cookie is a very powerful buffing Cookie that provides powerful buffs for all allies. These things make them especially excel at dealing with Guild Raid Bosses, as the bosses often summon creatures to attack the teams.

 

If players are invested in Guild Raids and want to have an easier time against the Guild Bosses, rolling for both of these cookies and putting them on the same team is highly recommended.
